The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models and can pick up pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design by irobot vacuum that focuses on enhancing corner and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and set up virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a problem if you want to own one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and move on whenever it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the hidden bin, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong for example, low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best robot vacuum for large house performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo hardwood floors in the first pass. It can also clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. While these features are great however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your house. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hardwood floors and removing all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
