iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system, which prevents microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the top robots available. What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The app will only alert you when something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's a lot of items that need to be removed frequently, like toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors on the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.
