The seats don't fully recline, but they can be lowered to the lowest point. This should still give your child plenty of room and headroom.

This creates a lower center of gravity and a perfect weight distribution. This makes it easier to push, particularly on bumpy terrain or over curbs. MFM reviewer Kath liked the way this kind of seat dealt with obstacles.

If you're looking for a buggy that can grow with your family, the sport(tm) is a first in the world that can take in infants and be modified to accommodate three or more children as they grow, all within one footprint.

Storage

The 3 wheeled pushchairs-wheeled frame is much more sturdy and can be moved with just one hand. It's also more suitable for difficult terrain. The shopping basket is smaller than a 4-wheeler.

A top-quality ATP will come with pneumatic tyres, a cushioned grip for added comfort, and a superb suspension. It will be able to accommodate a carrycot or a car seat, so you can use it right from birth.

MFM's reviewers have noticed that the 3 wheel pushchairs-wheeler frame won't fit through all the doors of their homes or small car boots - make sure you check the dimensions of the buggy when it's folded prior to purchasing if you're worried about space.

Find a 3-wheeler that has 2 (or 3!) seats. This is the best option for your future and can save you money. The iCandy strawberry sport is one of the top of them and can be used as a single unit from day dot and then converts to twin buggies when your baby begins walking.

Tyres

These tires cushion bumps and uneven surfaces to make your child's ride more comfortable. They're commonly found on pushchairs such as the Phil and Ted's Sport which MFM reviewer Kath discovered to provide "an exceptional ride for my toddler". She also noted that the grippy tyres on it made it easy to navigate cobbles and kerbs.

These tyres can be difficult to maintain and require air pressure topped up regularly. They are also more prone to punctures than foam tyres. So you'll need to ensure that you have a repair kit with spare tubes and a pump in case you go out and about with your buggy.

PU tyres can be found on more pushchairs than air-filled tyres, but they're just as robust. You can recognise PU tyres by their matte appearance and soft, smooth feel. They also slide well on smooth and tightly woven surfaces.

It's usually possible to identify the difference between PU and air-filled tire by running your fingers over each one, if it feels firm, then it's rubber and when it slides, it's a PU. You can also verify whether your buggy has PU tyres by slipping the tyres onto flat, clean surfaces - they'll be able to roll easily and fit comfortably in their wheel hubs.

Foam tyres are typically used in high-performance buggies as well as joggers since they are able to cope with the rough terrain that's common to this type of pushchair. This could make your buggy less stable because the foam will lose its springy nature. The tyres can also be noisy, as they make a lot noise when you turn or drive around town.
