The Xplore comes with two canopy options that rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for the entire family. It also has a footwell that is not as deep or large as other wagons, so it might not be comfortable for longer excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as some other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models, and it does not secure when folded. It is easy to move however, and can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents looking for a secondary stroller that's affordable. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded, which means it's very light, compact when folded and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also offers the option of reclining in multiple positions and a parent cup holder. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It performed better in our push and turn test than many of the other strollers we tested, but was still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

It took us under three minutes to put together the Delta with a manual. The parts are all non-required and required tools. However, it's missing some essential features that we believe you should consider non-negotiable in a double single convertible stroller, like a large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward direction and can also pivot. This is helpful when navigating rough terrain. When we walked on the stony path, we allowed them to swivel and it performed well although it did seem a little bumpier than others on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

It is heavier than the other strollers that we tested, but because it has rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-made. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain and it's easy to carry, even when loaded with two kids and shopping bags.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are durable and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams that can be blown back onto toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, however it does have a big basket that's large enough to fit a changing bag as well as plenty of food items. This budget single pushchair is extremely easy to use and has excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold, and a handy carry strap. It's also very light and robust. The seat can be reclined into a variety of different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that's suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two large sun visors that are fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't ideal it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.
