The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button press. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It sucks up large items and does not lose suction as fast as some other models, and it can even clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think it's a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub off hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or irobot vacuum cleaner j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, allowing you to manage it even when away from home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot for mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that has a range of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are nice but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it to its base station. The center of the control panel is the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
