If you're on a tight budget and don't need a stroller that can double up as car seat carriers the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's simple to push, and it feels solid when walking along woodland paths and kerbs. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned its reputation as the ultimate stroller that is light, ideal for city dwellers as well as jet-setters. This is thanks to its super nimble maneuverability and fold which fits in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who are looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. The wagon can hold one or two children from 6 months up to 5 years old, and it comes with a large storage basket for everything you require on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that turn from front to back, providing ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This isn't suitable for long journeys or naps.

The frame on the Xplore is solid and sturdy, although it does not have the same flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it's not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to move however, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable second stroller for their travels. It scored high in our Strollers and Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put in a trunk for your car. It also has an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

In our push and turn test, it did better than the majority of other strollers that we test, but it's not the easiest to maneuver on uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. The sunshades on it were among the tiniest of strollers we tested. They only cover the top of the stroller and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

It took us less than three minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. The parts are all non-required and required tools. It is missing some features that we consider essential for double strollers. They include a large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent addition to Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is described as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward direction, or they can rotate. This is helpful when navigating rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel during our walk on a stony path. It handled this reasonably well, although it seemed a little rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most famous for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers that jog. However, they also manufacture a vast selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is easy to fold and fits into the trunk of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It is heavier than the other strollers we've test, but since it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels solid and well-constructed. It's a breeze to maneuver across all kinds of terrain, and it's easy to move, even when loaded with two children and a shopping bag.

Both the carrycot and seat have hoods that can be removed to reveal UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are showerproof and sturdy, unlike some other prams' hoods which get whipped back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or plenty of food. You can also use it with the Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you are looking for a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene, it stole the hearts of parents everywhere. It's a stroller made of aluminum that will see you through your baby's initial days and beyond. It's got a few stand-out features including the ability to flip the seat to be parent-facing and world-facing, a large UPF 50+ canopy with an eye shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

It's also extremely light and robust. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that's suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't great - it's not as silent as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and even works with a few carrycots. In twin mode the seats can face one another or turn around and face the parents, theoretically reducing sibling rivalries over who sits with dad and mom. The Thule Urban glide 2 is the ideal jogger for parents who love to be active.
