It can also be set to automatically raise its front side brush upon detecting wet areas and clean up debris from corners and baseboards.

The X40 Ultra is easy to install and use using an intuitive and simple app and a wide range of features. It is quieter than many corded vacuums. The only sounds are the occasional low hum from its motor, and the occasional bursts of sucking when cleaning. The Eufy S1 Pro is an impressively powerful mop and vacuum combination that has been developed to be user-friendly. The base station, which is gunmetal-colored, is self-emptying and refills its own tank with clean water, automatically empties the dust bin into a smaller container, and washes and dries its own mop pad between cleaning sessions. It also has a sophisticated feature set that allows it to switch between rugs and hard and effectively remove pet hair and dirt from carpets and high thresholds in rooms.

The S1 Pro's navigation and maps are outstanding, and the internal dToF LiDAR system that allows it to keep an unobtrusive appearance while offering top-of-the-line objects avoidance. It is able to drive close to walls and avoid steps without crashing. It also raises the mop automatically when driving on short-pile carpets. However, it struggled a little when encountering carpets with a longer pile and also large, thick messes of dried-on debris.

Like all robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to roll out of the box and only requires the initial mapping run to figure out how it can navigate your home. The map will then be displayed in the app, and you can join or add rooms as necessary. You can also design virtual boundaries areas, no-go zones and no-mop areas if you don't wish the robot to touch certain items.

The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up spills from hard floors, thanks to its rotating mop head that exerts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to mop and vacuum is a great choice for homes with different types of flooring but its dependence on a Eufy-branded cleaning product (which is included in the box) can make it less flexible than other robots that allow you to add your own solutions.
