In our tests, we observed that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to eliminate a large amount of debris on bare floors and a good amount of rug with a medium pile. We did notice that it was a bit slower on floors that were not paved, but it regained speed and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tried.

The IQ is a better option for most users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dust bin and lasts longer on a charge and is more capable of moving itself over obstacles. It also has a mopping attachment that can tackle sticky mess. The iRobot is, on the other hand feels more sturdy and has fewer parts that need maintenance or replacement, incurs less cost per year, and can create virtual no go zones using its companion app. It can continue cleaning where it left off, even if the battery is out before it's finished. The iRobot is also controlled by voice, which can be an advantage for many users.
