The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to recognize objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. The j7+, although not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, is still a good option for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to know whether they're working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the best robot vacuum for tile floors choice is probably one that is a hybrid. The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map or change the labels of rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also comes with a large LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessary feature for the majority of people but it will help you keep track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and functionality are some of the top available - but it's also pricey.

The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. But the station's biggest selling point is how it automates many tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Most other robovacs will require you to perform this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does very well at cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a clean zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning-related options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price tag.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers an identical experience on the app with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, simply connect one of the side brush, turn it on and connect your charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock close to an outlet for power and enough space to allow it to move around, however.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It is sleek with a black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers similar battery life and performs better on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with the boundaries that restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
