It also couldn't take on dirt that had dried up.

The app is on the basic side and lacks features such as multiple cleaning modes and [Redirect Only] automated scheduling. It works with Alexa but its voice controls aren't precise or responsive. It's also a little erratic when it returns to the charging station after an exercise. Other robots can follow an obstruction or follow an earlier route, but the RX3 bumbles around until it quits.

Another issue we had was with its intelligent features, particularly the mapping function and the digital keep-out zones. While it did a great job of keeping away from our furniture legs and shoes but it could easily be hung up by cables and socks and couldn't handle the tassels on carpets. That's why we chose not to include it in our best auto vacuum Buy list. However, with a reasonable price and a dazzling performance The Scout RX3 is worth considering when you're looking for a smarter alternative to traditional uprights.
