It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of an object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills quickly, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It has a sleek, high-end piece that looks like a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System also self-empties, which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It even was able to catch small gravel and sand that other robots can't. And Automated Vacuum Cleaner all this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.

The j7+, although not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying vacuum bot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and vacuum. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic vacuum cleaners cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It's not able navigate stairs as well as some competitors, either and doesn't come with a dock that allows the user to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need an automated vacuum that can do it all.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many of the eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features, including stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

The G30, however is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with heavy materials such as cereal.
