1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its greatest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and Robot Vacuum Deals spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that looks like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it all over the floor robot. It was able to capture small gravel, sand and even a bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot do this. And it did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

The j7+, while not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that use robotic floor vacuums cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to know whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the best vacuums option. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home at the same time. These bots also have various additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't include some of the premium features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option if you are willing to compromise to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like tables and walls which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas or alter your home map, or change the room's label.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It features a large LCD screen which is helpful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people however it will aid in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and functionality are among the top available - but it's also pricey.

The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is quite compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that do very well at picking up debris on bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors, either and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.

If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, a Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at an affordable price point. It's easy to set it up, simply connect one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be located near an outlet with plenty of space to move.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it will fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the best robot vacuum cleaner G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The most important feature that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and robot vacuum deals where it can't access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it began.

The eufy G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges faster and has a similar battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand, is more affordable and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and it's less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
