The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of an object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the best roborock vacuum robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that resembles a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot vacuum cleaner best. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System also self-empties, which will reduce your cleaning time.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't do this. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update is working until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. These bots also come with various additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, Auto Vacuum Cleaner but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's the cheapest model of their Auto Vacuum Cleaner-empty line. While it may not come with some of the premium features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas and modify your home map or re-label the rooms.

If you select the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place, emptying the bin is relatively simple. It has a large LCD screen which is helpful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, but it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the best in the industry, but it's expensive.

It's a tiny base station that looks beautiful and can be hidden when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tested that does a really good job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It also can't climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price tag.

If you're looking to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other options available which include a variety of eufy models for significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper however it comes with more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot hoover vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning on hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up, just snap on one of the side brush, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock near an outlet for power and plenty of room for it to move however.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact It will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning where it began.

The eufy G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, has a similar battery life, and performs better on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with the boundaries that restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as often, and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
