It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris like books and broken toys.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well, but it's something you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house and find furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach places. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. It does however, have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most notable for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot hoover, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base comes with several control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot hoover and mop or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic hoovers vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets caught in a hazard like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxes.
