Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a unique item that makes certain Pokemon develop. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize in Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be put in armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to boost their level of use. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests depending on the type of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armors, weapons and gathering tools to provide attributes bonuses or other effects when the equipment is being used. Upgrade components are only available on equipment with an upgrade slot available. Most upgrade components also require that the item upgrade being upgraded is above a certain level. Some upgrade components also have special visual effects when applied to an item upgrader kit of equipment. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, purchased by Karma merchants, or exchanged with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be salvaged from equipment and redeemed as rewards.

A variety of upgrade components are available, each of which offers an individual bonus. Universal upgrades such as gems and inscriptions are able to be used on any type of equipment. They provide fewer bonuses than the other types of upgrade components. Infusions can be utilized on legendary and non-amulet items, while enrichments are able to be used on back equipment that is ascended. The majority of upgrade components can be replaced when they are slotted into an item upgrades, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade item. The only exceptions are glyphs, that can only be placed into gathering tools, and enchantments. Both can be removed and reinserted.

Insignias and enchantments will display their name in the hover display of the item while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their name to the end of the equipment name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components added to an item will be displayed in the tooltip for the Best item upgrader.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to add decorative and functional elements to an OpenType font. They include ligatures, fractions or ornaments, as well registered trademark symbols such as ellipses, swashes, and Upgrade Item swashes. The Glyphs Panel allows you to insert and view these special characters, along with common symbols like em and en dashes as well in registered trademark symbols.

Each Glyph provides a primary stat boost for the character. The glyph may also include up to four secondary stats that will influence its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage boost that is multiplied by additional bonuses, except for Speed Glyphs that directly increase the hero’s speed.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will bring up a new window that displays the Glyphs you own that can be applied to the selected item. You are only able to apply the appropriate Glyph to the selected item. Each weapon or jewelry piece has its own collection of Glyphs.

You can level up Glyphs by completing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult a dungeon is, the greater Glyph experience you'll earn. Once a Glyph reaches level 15 it can be upgraded at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board increases by one node every 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.

When a Glyph is at the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it, then click the "enchant button". The Glyph you create will provide its stated benefit, and will also boost all other nodes in its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be placed where they can benefit your build the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs may also offer double bonuses if certain conditions can be satisfied.

If you're having difficulty finding a particular glyph, click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a variety of different views. Each of these views displays the Glyphs in different fonts. You can narrow down the list of glyphs by choosing an option below "Entire Font". For example, punctuation only displays punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols restricts the selection to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling involves creating an account on a different account to increase your chances of acquiring the weapon or character you'd like. It can help you level up faster or to get better loot, like a better weapon for your current character. Many players reroll until they get the characters they like regardless of their abilities. This can be because they like the character's style or character.

You must ensure that you make clean changes when you reroll. You should test locally if the patch passes pre-commit and run a Core dev check. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue using an unmodified diff (see What's the deal with an interdiff? ).

Rerolls can take days or weeks to complete, based on the luck you have. During this time, it is recommended to avoid enemy camps that are optional to save time. Also, avoid repeating quests that you can complete later in the game. This will save you time and energy.

Another important consideration when rerolling is to make sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to enhance your character's appearance and strength. Upgrades, rerolling characters and upgrading weapons are all options. It is also important to know the limitations of the system.

Rerolling isn't necessary, but it is a way to increase your chances of getting an item or character. It can be helpful in the case of trying to find the most effective character or if you're wanting to try out different builds and play styles.

Sets

A set is an object collection with 2 common attributes (like the number or eggs in a dozen or the members of a group). Sets allow for operations like union, intersection and distinction.

When you upgrade a set item, it becomes an upgraded version that is better than the previous one. This means that armor and weapons will have a greater defense and lower strength requirements.

Upgrades are an excellent method of bringing popular single-set items up to the same level as their higher-tier set counterparts. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to an Elite Spired helmet will increase the defense from 217 up to 321 and reduce the strength and levels to an achievable range.

It is important to keep in mind that not all items in the set are suitable for upgrading. Some sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's shield or Naj's puzzler staff, are already exceptional in their own way and don't require upgrading. Certain items, like Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are frequently used may be benefited by an upgrade to increase their value. It could be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
