The automatic bin emptying feature is among the most efficient features we've encountered in the form of a robot and it is compatible with hard floors as well as carpets. It's also easy to set up and operate with the app that guides you through the process step-by-step. Its ability to resumptuate where it left off during our tests is another impressive feature. It did this for 77 minutes on one cleaning before the battery was exhausted.

The i3+ EVO unlike the other robot vacuums that we tested has a self emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt container on its charging base once it's full. The i3+ EVO can be prevented from overfilling thanks to a self-emptying container. However, it must still be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's built-in dust bin can hold 2.4L of debris and is more than enough to get it through four or five cleaning sessions before needing to replace it.

The i3+ EVO, just like the i7, uses cutting-edge floor-tracking sensors that create maps. It also lets you navigate in neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores a single map while the i7 is able to store multiple maps. The i7 also has the ability to use its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, but the i3+ EVO cannot.

The i3+ EVO does a better job of picking up surface debris in comparison to other robovacs that we have examined, but it's not the most effective in cleaning corners and edges. It is also less gentle on furniture despite being relatively silent. It pushed chairs away from walls and made some collisions with the sides of our bed, and was stuck to cords and toys during our testing.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

If you're looking to increase your robot broom vacuum collection or just beginning your journey with the Q5 Pro is a great option. It features an elegant design, powerful navigation, and useful automation at a reasonable cost. It's the most efficient pound-for pound model currently available and is even better than some of Roborock's much pricier models in many ways.

This robot floor cleaner does a great job of cleaning floors that are not clean and its avoidance technology helps it steer clear of furniture legs and other obstacles. The only snag is that it's louder than other models we test and it doesn't do as well in our owner satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro's 240 minute running time is also a lot when compared to other 2-in-1 robots that we tested. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple updated its website's footnote in the beginning of November to reflect the fact that the feature was delayed until 2025. HomeKit is not compatible with other robots, but Siri Shortcuts are.
