The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly app that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only drawback is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.

A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done including emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the tank automatically with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop is the newest version. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may overlook.

The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its course automatically and clean around the objects without stumbling.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.

The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot vacuum cleaner uk passes will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's life. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.

3. Dreame X40

In contrast to other robots that are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and intuitive, and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically cleans the dustbin and mop pads before refilling them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect if the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It has many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot hoover vacuums and mop models and could be a good method to keep your home clean for longer.

There's an impressive amount of settings available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white colors that looks classy and sophisticated. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and feels robust and well built. The mopping system is well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
