Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item are enhanced by upgrading it, which is also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment increases the stats linearly.

Players can recycle six items at once to gain a gauge for the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling an item increases with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade item is a way to increase the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be done through various methods, including using upgrade components as well as upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. Many items can also be reforged to increase their value.

You can find upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available throughout all over the world and are rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. Glyphs can also increase the recall of the message by triggering a familiarity in the brain.

Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by certain range. This is clearly displayed on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This isn't the actual amount by which the glyph will increase a stat, but the maximum amount it is able to do so. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the item you are creating it for.

Most upgrade components inserted into items can't be repaired or replaced without removing the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a rune or glyph you do not want to use, but it hasn't been applied to the gear yet, you can move the item to a different piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you are looking to remove a glyph from a piece of you must save it using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item will be destroyed in which it is installed, but you can recover the upgraded item by using the glyph and its shards, therefore, it shouldn't be considered a loss.

When you take away an item after putting a glyph on it, the shards of the glyph will vanish. You can also put an inscription to your equipment to make it more valuable. For instance the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly rather than all at once. This is beneficial for players who suffer lots of damage from their enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes they use on their equipment and weapons, and can be found through a variety of methods such as in mistery boxes, as a rare drop from skulled creatures, or from killing bosses. Each reroll gives the player an affix randomly chosen and typically better than what they had before. Reroll tokens can also be a good option to reroll stats on weapons and can be upgraded to increase damage or perks.

Items that have been rerolled do not appear in the upgrade menu, but they are still eligible to receive upgrades. By pressing the "upgrade button" you can recycle the items that have been rerolled. This will alter the design of the item's window, and allow up to six items be selected to recycle. Recycling an item adds a small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the rarity of the item and also its level. Thus, items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than items with lower levels.

In addition to tokens for rerolls, players can use Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls will determine the percentage chance of a particular weapon trait. If it is higher, the weapon will be upgraded, and if it rolls lower, it remains unchanged. Weapons can be repeated up to three times.

Rerolling is an excellent option to upgrade an item. However, players must be aware of the fact that the total ilvl is reduced by the number rerolls it took to get it to the final level. This is evident on rings and Diadems, because they are the only options for raising ilvl.

Players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It would be fairer to allow people to pay for it with money or food items which will allow players to make changes to their builds without having to spend too much time. The developers aren't planning to implement paid rerolls at this stage of the game's development. They are planning to add a potion that will allow players to alter their race in the future.

Leveling

There are many ways to boost the value of an upgrade to an item. The first is to increase the upgrade amount which boosts the value of upgrading the stat. The alternative is to increase the effect of the upgrade, which can increase the damage or healing of a stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. After this the new item will keep its iLevel however it will benefit from the upgrade effects of the upgraded item type.

The iLevel also changes depending on the item's upgrade path and base level. For instance, an item that is upgraded from being a scarce or exclusive item to an extraordinary one will have the chance to gain the Enhanced Defense of the new base item.
