Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a special item that can make certain Pokemon change. The Upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc, and is often offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be found in armor, weapons trinkets, and gathering tools to increase their item level. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests based on the kind of item level upgrade.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armors, weapons and gathering tools in order to increase attribute bonuses or other effects while using the equipment. Upgrade components are only available on equipment that has an upgrade slot. Most upgrade components also require that the item being upgraded is at a certain level. Some upgrade items also have special effects when applied to an item. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, bought from Karma merchants or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be rescued from equipment and redeemed as rewards.

There are various upgrade components, each of which comes with a different bonus. Universal upgrades such as gems and inscriptions are able to be used on any type of equipment. They provide smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade component. Infusions can be used on non-amulet or legendary ascended items, and enrichments are able to be used on ascended back equipment. The majority of upgrade components can be replaced if they are inserted into an item, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs that can only be placed in gathering tools, as well as enchantments. Both can be removed and replaced.

Insignias, enchantments, and prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). Glyphs

The resulting glyph will offer its stated benefit and increase the number of nodes in its radius on the Paragon Board. It is important to place glyphs in the Best item upgrader locations to benefit your build, and this is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs can also provide double bonus if certain conditions can be satisfied.

Click the cycle widget to alter the perspective of the Glyphs Panel. Each view shows the Glyphs in different fonts. You can narrow down the list of glyphs by choosing an option below "Entire Font". For example, punctuation only displays punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limits the selection to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is the process by which you create a brand new account to give yourself more chances to access the character or weapon you are interested in.
