Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is an item that will make certain Pokemon evolve. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc and can be given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.

Upgrades can be applied to weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools in order to boost their level. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, based on the type of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armors, Upgrade item trinkets and gathering tools in order to add attributes or other bonuses when the equipment is being used. Upgrade components are only available on equipment that has an upgrade slot. Most upgrade components also require that the item level upgrade to be upgraded is above a specific level. Some upgrade items have special effects that can be seen when they are applied. Upgrade components are available through crafting, bought from Karma merchants or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be salvaged from equipment and used as rewards.

There are a variety of upgrade components available, each of which offers various bonuses. Universal upgrades like gems and inscriptions can be applied to any type of equipment. They provide smaller bonuses than the other types of upgrade components. Infusions are able to be used on non-amulet or legendary ascended items, while enrichments can be utilized on certain back equipment that has been ascended. The majority of upgrade components can be replaced if they are slotted into an item, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and Enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted.

Insignias and enchantments will display their names on the hover display of the item upgrader mod while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their name to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g. for example, a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item upgrades will display the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures and ornaments, fractions and swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs panel lets you look up and insert these unique characters along with regular glyphs like em dashes and en dashes registered trademark symbols and glyphs that do not appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides a character with a boost in their primary stats. The glyph can also have up to four secondary stats which will affect its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a %-increase that is multiplied after other bonuses are applied in addition to Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you have available that can be applied to the item you have selected. You can only apply the appropriate Glyph to the item you have selected. Each weapon or armor piece has a different collection of Glyphs.

Glyphs can be leveled up by completing Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult the Dungeon is, the greater Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph has reached the level 15 it can be upgraded using the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board grows by one node for every 15 levels at which a Glyph is upgraded.

Once a Glyph is leveled up to the desired level You can activate it by selecting it and then clicking the "enchant" button. The resulting glyph will offer its stated benefit and also boost all the other nodes within its radius on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should go where they will benefit your building the most. This is why you should prioritize Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs could also provide double bonus when certain conditions are met.

Click the cycle widget to alter the perspective of the Glyphs Panel. Each view shows the Glyphs in different fonts. You can reduce the number of glyphs by selecting an option under "Entire Font". For example, punctuation only displays punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limits the options to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling involves establishing an account on a different account to increase your chances of acquiring the character or weapon you'd like. This can aid in your progress to higher levels or to obtain more loot, for example, the best weapon for your character. Many players will repeat the roll until the character they wish to play is available, regardless of its ability. It could be that they like the style or the personality of the character.

When you reroll, you have be sure that the changes you are making are clean. You should verify locally whether the patch is approved by pre-commit and Upgrade item run a Core dev test. Upload the patch with a clear difference to an issue (see What is an interdiff?) ).

Upgrades make a set item better than before. For armor and weapons, this means it gains an increase in the base defense, less strength requirements and a lower requirement for level.

Upgrading is a great way to bring popular single-set items to the same level as their higher-tier set counterparts. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to the Elite Spired helmet could boost the defense from 217 up to 321 and decrease the strength and levels to an achievable range.

It is important to keep in mind that not all items in an assortment are suitable for upgrading. Some sets, like the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield or Naj's puzzler staff, are already Exceptional in their own rights and don't need upgrading. Certain items, like Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are used frequently may be benefited by an upgrade to increase their value. It might be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
