WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item level Upgrade from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using an button, which will display an item upgrades's preview at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item level. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers.
