The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests on floors that were bare, and they are particularly adept in cleaning dog hair. They do have some flaws however, which hinder them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to become stuck on socks and shoes, and it couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very well during our tests. Also, it doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of the room.

It's still a great option, especially if you want to save money on a Roomba from iRobot, and you have a bare-floored home or office. It's also extremely quiet and operates while you are at work or in school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle however. And, if you need to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in a matter of minutes.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that can mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and quick navigation make it easy to clean and effective in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also features a self-emptying dustbin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, but it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensors to keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time and offer more efficient cleaning. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming this feature, which hasn't been seen in other robot vacuum/mop combinations.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

This robot vacuum and mop combination is sleek and has a circular look that looks much like a Roomba model than the bulky units of the rivals. It's one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent and has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot hoover and mop that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. 4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot mop and vacuum. It has a range of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. Like Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take charge of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multifunction dock that automatically empty the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and detect obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its top competitors. It also has a front-mounted camera to detect hazards in real-time however, it wasn't 100% foolproof during our tests and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to accomplish the task. It also comes with a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas in the house based on how dirty the areas tend to be.
