World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage every time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them. The item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the item to the upgrade (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will drop at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much they'll increase after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a substantial chance that the item could be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible to level 15.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets leveled up.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades an item it is replaced with a different item of the same type. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This can be a disadvantage in that it could make the item more expensive if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrader upgrades. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and item upgrading completely different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can use up many resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of a unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currency to an NPC who upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item upgrader it is given a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the farther you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item returning to its initial state and the player having to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, Item Upgrading and all additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items could require different upgrades than normal equipment. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will need to carry each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
