The upgrade option allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up 700 points and also add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like an ideally made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. Many weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a single unit. This bonus could be greater than the damage that a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is usually a good factor, but it could also have negative consequences. In the case of items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them can render them useless unless you have an extremely fortunate roll.

It is possible to upgrade armor items to improve their stats. For instance, if you have chests or helms it will boost its defense base while gloves and belts will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor Item upgrades has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reroll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgrading, along with the relative value of those stats. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will be hit for 3 fewer times because it's an absolute statistic.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button, which is accompanied by circular arrows within the item menu. This will reroll the item and alter its stats but it won't reset the weapon's level nor bind to account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which makes traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the more health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, go to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and in order to unlock them all, you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you're looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for instance, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in frigid environments with a large number of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you're able to survive a battle with your comrades.

Note that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll need to work on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear by the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and Item upgrades you will be able to unlock some perks on your armor. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be beneficial to have a few improvements to the helmets and chest armor that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, provide a temporary effect. There are five different types of potions, each with particular effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. Additionally the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or the chest of the Alchemist. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion and the Best item upgrade's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. For example the splash potions now have a duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item upgrades). The potion table can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be used in cauldrons. The same is true for using a potion in an empty cauldron. This will deplete the potion, and refill the bottle.

Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. In the same way, a lingering potion' effect is extended by adding redstone. The table of potions is arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket can be described as a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to an object or ornament that serves a function but is not particularly important like a trinket. Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries and then other items of gear they will not be replacing in the near future (for example rings or cloaks). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm and shoulders.

Once they have become useless, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket has an additional 1percent bonus. A re-upgrade, however, can cause damage to the trinket unless it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying the new one.
