World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example an item with the upgrade template ending in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be inserted. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once and can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment with the upgrade (for instance 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will be dropped at the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure what will be improved after the reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it is likely that the item will be obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and Item Upgrader assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate the chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade item components that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the Best item upgrade way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, which is why it is best to put Glyphs in the most important spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item upgrade, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player improves a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside since the item may increase in price even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a totally different set of bonus bonuses. This is a good idea however it shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). The item can be upgraded several times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very valuable in PvP as the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an item it is given an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go back to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained, such as the chance to crit damage to attack, other effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or item upgrader armor after the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to the value of the base item. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
