The i3+ does not have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots we tested. It may get stuck on power cords and socks, and may have trouble navigating between different surfaces, like rug and hardwood.

iRobot suggests cleaning the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other clutter it might come across. Also, keep the filters and dust bin free of dirt to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station’s external dustbin. The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. The i7+ is quicker and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and lowers recurring costs.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and move around the room and vacuum an area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. When connected, we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." That's still enough run time to clean most of a typical-sized home, but not quite long enough to cover every area (though an additional run-through often will suffice). The app offers a variety of options to personalize your robotic cleaner, such as virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior adjustments, docking frequency settings, and much more. The app is simple to use and understand, just like other Samsung devices.

In our tests our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) quite well, clearing up 86% of it. However, it did not do particularly well with taller objects like cords and socks, which was disappointing.
