I've noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well however, it's something you'll need to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base comes with several control buttons, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on the child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets caught in a blockage, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. While it was not common, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
