Both robots are good at removing surface dirt on hard floors and carpets and are able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that help the i3+ navigate and clean up efficiently. However unlike the i7+ or other top rated robots we test the i3+ does not have a feature for avoiding obstacles, so it may get stuck on things like socks or power cords, and it can have difficulty in navigating through transitions between surfaces like from hardwood to rug.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including putting away any clutter or toys it may encounter. It is also recommended to keep the filters and dust bin clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station, and it automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station's external dustbin. It then continues cleaning from where it began. The battery's lifespan is around an hour and a half of constant use. It takes about three hours to fully charge.

2. IRobot Roomba i7+

In our testing, the i7+ was more agile and faster than our second-placed model, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surfaces kinds, including carpeting.
