WoW Upgrades - The Item level upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the gear being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased from item upgrade upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon, or Item level upgrade armor. The button will display the item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current level of the item as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and Item level Upgrade sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Many locations offer item upgraders in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader mod upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade require several methods that are both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. Once a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items are from an entirely different set of equipment.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced also, but is only available after certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests can only be spent on equipment of a particular rank, and that every rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests depending on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The use of these currencies isn't too difficult however, the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests only have one purpose and it's crucial to use them properly. It is best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
