It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require you to perform this.

And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tried that does a really good job of picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It also can't climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a clean zone for carpets with plush padding.

While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price tag.
