The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it around the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand, which most other robots aren't able to do. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic floor scrubber cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell whether they're working until you see them in action.

When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that many robot vacuums that are less expensive aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation is superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the top robot vacuum in the market however it's quite expensive.

The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The main reason to buy robot vacuum cleaner the station is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you.
