World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrade allows players to increase the level of equippable weapons and armor. This increases the stats and may also include buffs or rerolls on an affix.

It is important to keep in mind that upgrading common gear isn't always worth it. Rare and exclusive equipment will quickly surpass upgraded magic and common equipment.

Cost

When a player upgrades an item, they have to spend Gold to do so. The cost of upgrading an item is based on the current level of the item and the type of upgrade. For example upgrading a weapon will generally be less expensive than upgrading armor, since weapons require lower levels of skill. The amount of Gold required for upgrading an item increases as the item is upgraded.

Upgraded items also come with upgraded stats that will improve its performance in a variety of ways. This may include boosting its attack strength or critical strike chance. An upgraded item may also give additional bonuses to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades are able to increase the overall power of a group or a single unit, and could significantly impact the gameplay.

The items can be upgraded at any item upgrader NPC in the game. Typically, these NPCs are located in major cities or questing areas. Players can also locate item upgraders by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses, or by talking to NPCs in their garrisons for their faction.

The item upgrade system in World of Warcraft provides players with the option of upgrading the levels of weapons, armor, and trinkets. This process is similar to the reforging of gear in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However instead of using currency, players have to visit an upgrader for their item to complete the process.

Item upgrades can be costly, especially when it comes to weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade path each step up in level of the item could cost several Valorstones or crests. The costs are prohibitive for those who don't have the resources or are unwilling to grind.

Fortunately, the game lets players roll an upgraded item using a special tool in the items menu. This option exchanges the upgraded item with the level 1 version of it that has a different set of bonus effects. This is useful to get better rolls on items that are already upgraded. However, it can also be a waste.

Requirements

Upgrading is the process of increasing the level of items that can be equipped such as trinkets, weapons, and armor. This can increase their power, making them more powerful in combat. Players can upgrade their gear by spending the appropriate currency at an upgrader. However, they should be aware that certain upgrades require special requirements.

Early upgrades increase the power of the item's base level. Later upgrades give significant increases. Additionally, the upgraded item will be awarded bonus stats, which is based on its tier. This bonus is a mix of a guaranteed substat as well as a randomly generated stat that can vary from upgrade to upgrade.

A player can roll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new version. The new item will come with an additional set of bonuses as well as an lower base level. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to remember that the item rerolled won't be able to keep its original strength or use any wasted resources.

Some upgraded items are only able to be rerolled if the initial item was Unique Epic, Rare or Rare. Extraordinary items can also be suitable for rerolling, however their original stats will be replaced with an uninvolved bonus. To upgrade a piece equipment, you need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. You will require Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 can be dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 is dropped by Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.

Time

Items upgrades can be used to improve the performance of your ship and gear without the need to level them. They're not cheap, but they are a good way to boost your stats without having to spend a lot of time fighting. It is important to understand the benefits and costs prior to investing your time or money.

Each upgrade boosts the item's base stat a certain amount and gives a chance to get a bonus substat. The extra substat is a random and could range from a tiny increase in one stat to an even greater increase in another. It's best to focus on the best-in-slot items first, as they'll yield a higher return on your investment.

You can check the time required to complete an upgrade when you open your inventory and select the weapon, ship or accessory. The upgrade window will display the expected completion time and progress. In certain cases, you may be able to speed up the upgrade process by applying a Glyph.

Rewards

Glyphs, which are stored in gathering tools are able to be swapped out without restrictions.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button, which has an arrow that rerolls the player can reroll it into another upgradeable item. This will change the layout of the item's window and allow players to choose up to six items to "recycle". The item that is recycled will be exchanged with a level 1 item upgrading of the same kind. Recycled items will not keep their status or the amount of resources needed to upgrade them.

The highest level of upgrade an item can achieve is determined by its quality and tier. Uncommon items can be upgraded up to an maximum of level six while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels nine. The upgrade of an item is added to the base statistics of the item. This means that they will not increase more after a certain point.
