WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon or armor. The button will show the item's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.
