Before each mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills the water tank onboard with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 cleaning sessions, but this will vary dependent on how often you use the mop.

The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. To do this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank regularly to avoid it from clogging. But, overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other combos that require more care.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship model of robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance, making it a clear contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush will ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is completed.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently while avoiding pet hairs and other messes.
