The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the push of a button. This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and also to clean your whole home in the most efficient way possible. 2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on higher-end models. As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones produce little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes across a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden from view and also cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something needs attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo will treat your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that needs to be removed frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can also vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot vacuum cleaner for carpet (relevant web page) mop and vacuum combo with all the features you could need. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are useful, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.

It is designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
