The i3+ EVO, unlike some of the other robot vacuums we tested has a self-emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt compartment located on its charging base once it's full. The i3+ EVO can be prevented from overfilling thanks to a self-emptying container. However it still needs to be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's inner dustbin holds 2.4L of waste that is more than enough to last several cleaning sessions before you have to replace it.

Like the i7model, this model is equipped with state-of-the-art floor tracking sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only keep one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, but not the i3+ EVO.

The i3+ EVO does a better job of removing surface debris compared to some other robovacs that we have looked at, but it's not the best robot vacuums in cleaning edges and corners. It's also a bit less gentle on furniture, despite being relatively quiet. It pushed chairs away from walls, and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and became stuck on cords and toys while testing.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

Whether you're expanding your collection of robot vacuums or just beginning your journey with the Q5 Pro is a great option. It has a sleek design, powerful navigation, and effective automation at a reasonable price. It's the most efficient pound-for pound model available today and even matches Roborock's higher-priced models in a variety of ways.

This robot does a great job of cleaning floors with no dust and its avoidance system helps it steer clear of furniture legs and other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and gets an excellent score in our tests on navigation. The only issue is that it's noisier than other models and doesn't perform as well in our owner-satisfaction and predicted reliability assessments.

The Q5 Pro has a very large dust bin that is 770ml, which means you won't need to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240-minute running time is also generous when contrasted with other 2-in-1 robots that we tested. If the battery is empty it returns to its dock and recharges before continuing cleaning where it left off. You can manage the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
