WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade increases item upgrade level by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, item Level upgrade unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrades that is used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however they'll always be cheaper than buying new gear. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other items. This is especially applicable to trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which will only be able to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
