The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its greatest advancement is an obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease without leaving any trace that was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.

Its design is an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base automatic floor cleaner (K12.instructure.Com) Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place rather than scattering it around the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

The j7+, while not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is still a good option for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine if the update is actually working until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the ideal choice. This type of robot typically includes a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They are expensive at full retail but often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and although it lacks some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area which many robot vacuums can really fail. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls or in corners.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleanings or schedules, [Redirect-Meta-1] establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the labels of rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make the robot simple to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is relatively simple. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't required for [Redirect Only] most people but it can help you to keep track of the robot floor cleaner's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart robot, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is quite compact. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only best robot vacuum black friday vacuum I've used that has done an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It also can't climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a clean zone for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does it all.

However, if you're looking to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot there are many alternatives on the market with a wide range of eufy models for significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper and has more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac g30

eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing best robot hoover vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpeted flooring, and a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It can be placed under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The main feature that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. If it requires a recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning where it began.

The eufy G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, offers similar battery life and is more effective on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with the boundary strips to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
