The Mulsanne W.O. Edition by Mulliner

The Mulliner division will celebrate Bentley's 100th anniversary next year with a Mulsanne special edition. It pays tribute to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley and even has the remains of one of his personal cars.

The special model can be ordered as a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. Its influence can be felt throughout the interior as well as the Mulliner illuminated cocktail cabinet, which has the display window which displays a piece of the original crankshaft from the 8 Litre displayed inside.

W.O. is emblazoned in the form of a B-shaped photoetched air vent on the chrome appliqué that runs along the back of the vehicle. The front grille has been designed after 1930s-appropriate Onyx, and there's an additional chrome-colored application on the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille is unique, featuring the chrome-colored shell instead of the typical body-colored mesh, which is typical of the standard Mulsanne and also featuring the Flying B logo as well.

Key boxes engraved with the Bentley wings holds two keys, and comes with a black flock lining, while individual key pouches are available to complement or contrast the key box. The commemorative set also includes a custom 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and the paperweight that flies with the letter 'B, plus a printed brochure that features images that have never before been seen of the original 1930s 8 Litre.

The key fob's knurling, which is metal-to-metal mimics the texture of the interior, including the seat temperature controls and the shift knob. Van Braekel says, "We wanted the knurling to look as consistent and attractive" as we could. It was crucial to keep the size and shape of fob in line with the same shape and size.

Bentley Mulliner customers can specify any color from the Bentley portfolio for their Bacalar, as well as any combination of hides, veneers or custom embroidery. More than 400,000 stitches give Bentley's signature diamond-indiamond quilting throughout the entire cabin, and the mood lighting can be adjusted to suit a range of different moods.

Outside illuminated treadplates, clocks with brushed silver are available as standard, and new 22in wheels have self-levelling bentley key logos. Bentley's "Speed" series is an absolute blast in that it takes the Continental GT's already extravagant lavishness and elevates it to eleven.
