This is the model you should pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and even droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it also has distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its enormous dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic vacuum and mop robot emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking best rated robot vacuum thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxes and clunky models.
