It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.

Although it doesn't have as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and robot vacuum that's worth the premium price tag.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are many alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30, however, is more affordable and a lot simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
