WoW Upgrades - The item level upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item level upgrade by +3. A random substat is also added to each upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. They can be purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next upgrade level, Item level Upgrade in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
