WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which will show an image of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item upgrading and the current level of the item as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for instance. It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they have only one purpose. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear that you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
