It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt, pet hair, and even droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as effective. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop mops and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and is effective, but this is something that you'll have to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum cleaner vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that serves as a charging base for the best robot vacuum and mop, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base has several control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This can cause mildew and mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
