It also has an advanced feature set that lets it switch between hard and rugs, effectively remove dirt and pet hair from carpets, and clear the thresholds of rooms that are raised.

The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping thanks to the internal dToF system. It can maintain a low-profile while still providing the best in detection of objects. It can drive close to walls and avoid steps without crashing. It also raises the mop when driving on short-pile or rugs carpets. However, it struggled with longer-pile carpets and large, thick messes of dried-on debris.

The S1 Pro is ready to be used right straight out of the box and it only needs just a few minutes of mapping to discover your home. The map will then be displayed in the app, and you can join or add rooms as needed. You can also set virtual boundaries and no-go zones or no-mop zones in case there's something you don't want your robot to be able to touch.
