Both robots are adept at cleaning up surface debris from carpets and hard floors, and they're very adept at maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart maps of your home to aid the i3+ in its navigation and clean up efficiently. The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots that we test. It can be stuck on power cords or socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces, like rug and hardwood.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, which includes clearing out any clutter or toys it may come across. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dust bin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. In our tests the i7+ performed more agile and faster than our runner-up which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface kinds, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin that eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces recurring cost.

We were also awestruck by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. Once connected to these services, we were able communicate with the i7+ using voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and monitoring performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car that is amidst a sea of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, but it is also compact enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.

It's capable of sucking up all debris types and sizes during our tests, and often goes over the same areas several times to give a thorough clean. Its flat front end helps it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls and walls, which is a nice touch.
