Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as good. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, such as books and toys that have been damaged.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to install and performs well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping it is important to be aware of this.

The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that serves as a charging base for the robot vacuum cleaners reviews, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its app.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxes and Best Robot Vacuum That Mops clunky models.
