However unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we test the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features which means it can get stuck on things such as socks or power cords and it may have trouble traversing transitions across surfaces, such as from hardwood to carpet.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, which includes clearing out any clutter or toys it may encounter. Also, keep the dustbin and filter clean to prevent them from getting blocked. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is depleted it goes back to its docking station, automatically emptying its trash into the station's dust bin and then resumes cleaning the area where it began. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes around three hours to recharge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in iRobot's flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging, self-navigating, and -- the most important feature of all -- it has an auto-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba I7+ is able to map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can control your robot through the app or voice.

The i7+ is more efficient and more agile in our tests than the eufy best robovac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin that eliminates major sources of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the best robot vacuum for large house to start, stop or pause its cleaning sessions, move itself around the room and sweep the area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. When connected we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The biggest issue with the V10 is its sluggish run time. As CR's tests show, its claims to run up to 60 minutes are misleading. This is an average, not an exceptional, time for a battery-powered cordless vac. This is still enough to get rid of the majority of an average-sized house, but not quite long enough to get every single spot (though an additional run-through often can be effective). This doesn't mean that this model isn't a good choice: It's lighter and agile than older cordless Dysons and its vacuuming efficiency is superior on carpets with a low pile.

It's capable of sucking up all kinds of debris in our tests, and often passes over the same areas many times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front makes it possible to reach the corners and edges of walls.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and help you navigate your home. It's not equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, such as our top rated robot vacuum picks, Top Rated Robot Vacuum the i3+EVO and j7+ Series. It is prone to getting stuck on cords for phones or furniture that is low and will often run out of power before returning to its base.

In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It removed 86% of dog hair (on carpet). However, it did not do particularly well with larger objects, like cords and socks which was disappointing.
