The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floorplans and identify obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its premium competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time hazard detection however, it wasn't reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to do the job. The well-designed iRobot app will guide you through an initial mapping session that collects data about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you set on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, or to organize a spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize the most soiled areas for greater efficiency.
