Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more adept, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on a variety of floor types. Choose models that allow you to choose between multiple modes, self-empty and clean stairs.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), Best Robot Vacuum and Mop and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behaviour.

When I tested the S1 It was quick to map the downstairs area, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, along with medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However, it had some difficulty getting down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it was near carpet or rug.

The S1's docking station automatically empties its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but this can vary based on how often you use the mop.

The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots that vacuum and mop. To do this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. But, overall the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers many innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot hoover and mop are impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of just drag a pad across a surface. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station when needed.

This robot combination is simple to set up and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the process. It includes an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged to reach those areas the robot isn't able to reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and refilled whenever needed. It also comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily picks up most of the debris, and even smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty solid as well, though it does sometimes get hung up on the tiny area mats or rugs that I have in my home (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual boundary within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also very good with a pair of spinning mop pads that can lift and scrub the floor instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the basestation whenever required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model is packed with impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our list of the top robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush ensure a thorough, custom-designed clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently, avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping performance of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that moves out to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that extend across baseboards.

Its navigation is smart, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It is able to move from one room to the next without having to reverse direction. This is beneficial for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a thick margin around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

Its app has a streamlined and intuitive interface that will be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleanings. You can also adjust the suction power, mop settings and view 2D and 3-D maps. You can control it via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video monitoring. You'll need a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it through the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

A robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum does a great job of removing debris and dirt but it's not always able to be able to reach every piece of dust. It's essential to clean your home regularly, once a week. This is especially true for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves, and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is made to accomplish this. It's simple to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your cleaning routine.

The mops are also quite impressive, with 2700Pa of power to take on dust, dirt and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any problems with carpets with high piles or area carpets, but it didn't clean up kitty litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also has a unique mapping system that lets it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums are unable to. It also stores dust in a larger bin which means you need to empty it less often. It also has washable filters, which reduces the costs associated with using the device. The robot is also able to detect carpets and boost the suction when needed. You can also mark off areas you would like to keep out of the app.
